Collection Statement

This statement is provided under Australian Privacy Principle 5 and explains, at the point of collection, what happens with the information you enter when you book a taxi with Suburban Taxis online.

Who is collecting your information

Suburban Taxis collects the information you provide in this booking portal. You can contact us on 13 1008.

What we collect and why

• Name and mobile number — so the driver can identify and contact you, and so we can verify your booking and send trip updates by SMS.
• Pickup and destination addresses — so we can dispatch a taxi, quote a fare and complete your trip.
• Email address (optional) — for booking receipts and account recovery.
• Payment selection and payment tokens — to process your chosen payment method. Card numbers are collected directly by our payment providers and never stored by us.

If you do not provide your name, mobile number and pickup details, we cannot accept an online booking. You can still book by phone on 13 1008.

Who it is disclosed to

Booking details are shared with the driver and operator who take your job, our dispatch system provider, and — for paid bookings — our payment providers (Stripe, BPOINT/Commonwealth Bank or CabPay). SMS and mapping providers are used to run the service. We do not sell your information.
